Not everyone thinks personal finance is a topic to sing and dance about but Julie Beckham has made a career out of it! Creator of Ms. Money & the Coins®, a musical about saving, sharing and spending money and the No Shame in this Money Game podcast, Julie is AVP/Financial Education Development & Strategy Officer at Rockland Trust Bank. A Certified Financial Educator (AAFCS) and an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Julie creates and implements engaging and entertaining financial education programming for colleagues, customers and the community. A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Julie worked for several nonprofits in her career and before focusing solely on Financial Education was the Community Relations Manager at Blue Hills Bank where she managed the bank’s charitable foundations and sponsorships, ultimately becoming responsible for more than $1 million of grants, matching gifts and sponsorships annually.  Through this work, Julie became involved with several nonprofits in the Greater Boston area and has a deep appreciation for their impact on individuals and families. Julie is a Founding Member of Boston Women, Inc., a First Lady Mentor at the Boston Public Renaissance Charter School in Hyde Park, a member of the Advisory Council of Boston Money Management and the Co-Chair of the Canton Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.
