On Friday, March 6, JWU Providence Wildcats, including former Cardinal Spellman High School standout Kacilyn Belmont, were defeated 62-46 by the Southern Maine Huskies during the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The matchup, which tipped off at 5:15 p.m., marked their first tournament meeting with the Southern Maine Huskies and was held at Morrell Gymnasium.
