Kingston Town Clerk’s Office announces limited hours due to staff training

The Kingston Town Clerk’s Office announced on June 1 that it will be closed for extended periods on Wednesday, June 3, and Thursday, June 4, to allow staff to attend the Massachusetts Town Clerk’s Association Conference and Training.

According to the announcement, the office will close at noon on Wednesday, June 3, and remain closed throughout Thursday, June 4. During these times, access to email and phone service will be limited. The office stated that if residents have an urgent matter or require a burial permit with immediate attention, they may call or text directly at 617-699-3225.

The office said it would monitor email periodically for agenda postings during lunch hours and after 5:00 PM; however, response times may be longer than usual. Regular Town House hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the building closed on Fridays.

“Thank you for your understanding,” the notice read.

The closure is part of ongoing efforts by the Clerk’s Office staff to participate in professional development through conference attendance.
