In the 2021-22 school year, white students were the most represented ethnicity in Plymouth County, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 54,715 white students enrolled, making up 70.9% of the student body in Plymouth County.

The proportion of white students enrolled in the county rose over the year before.

Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander was the least represented ethnicity among Plymouth County students.

The number of students attending the County’s schools in the 2021-22 school year grew to 77,173.

Students in Massachusetts are predominantly white, according to state data from 2020, with only 35% of the students considered people of color.

Across the state, Hispanic and Latino students suffered the highest high school dropout rates.
