Rep. Stephen F. Lynch, who represents Massachusetts’ 8th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on community events and legislative matters through his social media posts.
On November 13, 2025, Lynch highlighted his participation in a ceremony honoring a fallen World War II soldier: “This weekend, I had the honor of joining with Mayor Mike Molisse and the families of the @TownofWeymouth in welcoming the return of Private Alfred T. Langevin, U.S. Army, who was killed in action in the Battle of the Hürtgen Forest on November 6, 1944.”
The following day, November 14, he addressed local constituents at a Norwood Town Meeting regarding recent federal budget proposals: “Great turnout tonight at Norwood Town Meeting. Sincere thanks to Moderator Gerri Slater for allowing me to address Town Meeting on the recent Government Shutdown and explain why I voted NO on the Republican plan to cut $1 Trillion from Medicaid and Medicare and strip health”
Later that same day, Lynch reported on a housing initiative for vulnerable populations: “Wonderful event this morning with @FrBillsMnSpring in the @Stoughton10 as we cut the ribbon for 24 brand new single occupancy homes for formerly homeless individuals and seniors. Sincere thanks to John Yazwinski (FBMS), @MassGovernor, Housing Secretary Ed Augustus, Sen. Bill”

Before entering Congress, he was a member of both chambers of the Massachusetts legislature between 1995 and 2001.
