The last day to register to vote for the May 1st Annual Town Meeting and the May 13th Annual Town Election is Friday, April 21, 2023. The Hanover Town Clerk’s/Registrar’s Office will be open until 5:00 pm, and online registration will be available until 11:59 pm on Friday, April 21, 2023. You may choose to register in person at the Hanover Town Clerk’s/Registrar’s Office located at the lower level side entrance of the Hanover Town Hall.

Hanover citizens who will be eighteen on or before the first day of Town Meeting (May 1st) or by the Town Election (May 13th) are encouraged to register to vote. Once registered, individuals will be eligible to vote in all elections thereafter. Further, residents may “pre-register” to vote if they are age 16 or 17, but they will not be eligible to vote until the age of 18.

Residents may conveniently register to vote or change their party status online, by mail, or in person. If registering by mail, please download the Massachusetts Mail-In Voter Registration Form and mail the completed form to the Hanover Town Clerk’s Office, 550 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA 02339. Residents may also register to vote in person at the Hanover Town Hall or the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
