Rep. Stephen F. Lynch, who represents Massachusetts’ 8th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media addressing ongoing political issues and legislative actions.

On November 12, 2025, Lynch commented on newly released documents related to former President Trump’s connections with Jeffrey Epstein. He stated, “Emails released by @OversightDems raise additional questions about the extent of President Trump’s involvement with Jeffrey Epstein. As Members get back to work, @HouseDemocrats will continue to fight for the full release of the Epstein files.”

Later that day, Lynch announced his opposition to a Republican budget proposal, writing on November 12, 2025: “Today, I will be voting NO on the Republican Budget bill which would eliminate tax subsidies that working families depend on to afford healthcare and it fails to prevent $1 trillion cuts to Medicaid and Medicare that fund our local Hospitals, Community Health Centers, and Nursing”

A third post made by Lynch on November 13, 2025 included only a link: “https://t.co/WLowoLU5HX”.

Lynch has served in Congress since 2001 after succeeding Joe Moakley as representative for Massachusetts’ 8th district. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of the Massachusetts legislature from 1995 through 2001. Born in Boston in 1955 and currently residing there at age 68, Lynch is an alumnus of Wentworth Institute of Technology (BS) and Boston College (JD).
