Stephen F. Lynch, U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts’ 8th district, has expressed his views through a series of tweets addressing significant national issues. Serving in Congress since 2001, Lynch has a history of public service in the Massachusetts legislature and resides in Boston.
On March 26, 2025, Lynch criticized President Trump and Elon Musk for their proposed cuts to essential government services. He stated, “President Trump and Elon Musk target critical government programs and services for cuts because they don’t recognize the value of those services. Caring for our veterans and seniors may not be financially profitable in the eyes of the Trump Administration but it is the right”.
The following day, March 27, 2025, Lynch condemned the treatment of an international student by immigration authorities. He remarked, “Snatching an international student off our streets who is lawfully in our Country and attending one of our Universities and then bundling her off to an ICE detention center 1,700 miles away without a hearing is a sickening reminder of the Gestapo-like conduct from another age. I”.
