Rep. Stephen F. Lynch, who represents Massachusetts’ 8th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used his social media platform to criticize President Trump’s actions related to mail-in voting and the conduct of former Attorney General Pam Bondi.

On April 1, 2026, Lynch posted: “After casting a mail-in ballot himself last week, President Trump continues to propagate disinformation and flat-out lies about election fraud in a shameless attempt to restrict the constitutional right to vote of every American. His executive order to disenfranchise American”.

In another post dated April 2, 2026, Lynch addressed the recent dismissal of Attorney General Pam Bondi and her involvement in congressional investigations: “Recently-fired Attorney General Pam Bondi has obstructed Congress’ investigation into Jeffrey Epstein for more than a year – all on behalf of the President that just fired her. While Ms. Bondi may now be a private citizen, she is nevertheless subject to our duly issued subpoena”.

Continuing his criticism on April 4, 2026, Lynch wrote: “Once again, President Trump is trying to scam the American people. This time, by restricting Americans’ ability to vote by mail. President Trump (who regularly votes by mail) recently issued an Executive Order to restrict mail-in voting, creating confusion and concern among”.

Lynch has served in Congress since 2001 after replacing Joe Moakley and previously held positions in both the Massachusetts House of Representatives and Senate. Born in Boston in 1955 and currently residing there at age 68, he holds degrees from Wentworth Institute of Technology and Boston College.
