Rep. Stephen F. Lynch, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts’ 8th district, has recently shared his thoughts and activities through a series of tweets. Lynch, who succeeded Joe Moakley in 2001, has been an active voice on various issues ranging from public safety to housing policies.

On March 6, 2025, Rep. Lynch expressed his pleasure in meeting with representatives of the International Association of Fire Fighters. Later that day at 21:53 UTC on March 6th, he addressed concerns about societal trends in the United States with a sense of urgency and concern. He stated: “There is something different going on in our country right now… It has never been an American tradition to punch down at the weakest and most vulnerable in our society.”

On March 7th at 15:42 UTC, Rep. Lynch voiced opposition to proposed cuts by the Trump administration regarding HUD staff and programs supporting public housing access. He tweeted: “As a member of the #CongressionalPublicHousingCaucus… I am proud to join my co-chairs… in opposing Trump administration plans…”
