Lynch has represented Massachusetts’s 8th District in Congress since succeeding Joe Moakley in 2001. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of both the Massachusetts House of Representatives (1995-1996) and the Massachusetts Senate (1996-2001). Born in Boston in 1955, Lynch is currently 68 years old and resides in Boston. He graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a BS in 1988 and earned a JD from Boston College in 1991.
