U.S. Congressman Stephen F. Lynch, who represents Massachusetts’ 8th district, has recently highlighted local achievements and community developments in a series of posts on his social media account.
On August 2, 2025, Lynch offered encouragement to young athletes, stating, “Special shoutout to all the @braintreeALL American Little League players and coaches as they continue to compete in the New England Regionals in Bristol, Connecticut! It was great watching you represent our state on ESPN today! On to Williamsport! https://t.co/wogLipbPZd”.
Two days later, on August 4, 2025, Lynch attended a local event and wrote, “It was a beautiful morning to join @PatrickMOConnor and @JoanMeschino at today’s ribbon cutting for the Town of Hingham’s new Public Safety Facility. On August 5, 2025, he continued his support for youth sports by congratulating Team Massachusetts: “Amazing! Lynch has served in Congress since 2001 after succeeding Joe Moakley. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of the Massachusetts legislature between 1995 and 2001. Born in Boston in 1955 and currently residing there at age 68, Lynch holds degrees from Wentworth Institute of Technology and Boston College.
