Rep. Stephen F. Lynch, U.S. Congressman representing Massachusetts’ 8th district since 2001, shared updates on community engagement and legislative activity in a series of social media posts dated January 17 and 18, 2026.
On January 17, Lynch posted about a site visit to a local climate-change project: “We had a brisk walk-through today with our City and State partners at the climate-change resiliency project at Joe Moakley Park. Later that day, Lynch addressed his role on the House Oversight Committee: “As a member of @OversightDems, I am continuing to work with my Democratic colleagues to investigate cases of misconduct and abuse during federal immigration enforcement operations. I have also agreed to cosponsor Articles of Impeachment for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi” (January 17, 2026).
On January 18, Lynch reflected on attending an event honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: “Enjoyed an uplifting and prayerful breakfast with the Brockton NAACP, honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Sincere thanks to NAACP President Phyllis Ellis and VP Bishop Tony Branch for allowing me the opportunity to address the gathering.” (January 18, 2026).
