Rep. Stephen F. Lynch, who represents Massachusetts’ 8th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to address issues ranging from Labor Day observances to ongoing efforts related to the Jeffrey Epstein case.
On September 1, 2025, Lynch extended a holiday message to American workers: “Wishing a safe and relaxing Labor Day to all of America’s workforce. May we redouble our efforts to reward and respect the dignity of work and restore the American dream! “
Two days later, on September 3, 2025, he commented on recent congressional hearings involving survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell: “Today, we heard powerful testimony from survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. I will continue to fight with my colleagues to ensure that these women receive justice and those involved are held accountable.” He also tagged @OversightDems in this post.
Later that same day, Lynch announced his participation in a legislative effort aimed at releasing files related to the Epstein case: “Last night, I signed the discharge petition led by @RepThomasMassie and @RepRoKhanna to force a House vote on legislation to release the Epstein files. The survivors and the American public deserve the truth.”
Lynch has been serving in Congress since 2001 after succeeding Joe Moakley. Before his tenure in Washington, he served in both chambers of Massachusetts’s state legislature from 1995 through 2001. Born in Boston in 1955, Lynch is an alumnus of Wentworth Institute of Technology (BS) and Boston College Law School (JD), and continues to reside in Boston.
