Stephen F. Lynch raises concerns over White House official and attends local Massachusetts events

U.S. Representative Stephen F. Lynch, who has represented Massachusetts’ 8th District in Congress since 2001, posted a series of tweets on September 25 and 26, 2025, covering topics from federal investigations to local events.

On September 25, Lynch alleged impropriety involving a senior White House official. In his post, he stated: “In 2024, current White House “Border Czar” @RealTomHoman reportedly accepted a $50,000 cash payment in exchange for his promise to secure contracts from the Federal Government.  Under President Trump, the Department of Justice abruptly terminated its investigation of Homan for https://t.co/FDMWIeAE6d”.

Later that evening, Lynch highlighted participation in a local union event honoring Julie Pinkham’s career: “Great turnout tonight at Local 718 IAFF Florian Hall for the retirement party for Julie Pinkham, Executive Director for the @MassNurses Association. Julie has been a fierce advocate for her fellow Nurses for 35 years – she started the MNA pension fund and raised wages and https://t.co/1HkZ4NuZuY” (September 25).

On September 26, Lynch attended another community gathering and posted: “Great to join a packed house tonight at JP Ryan’s Pub in Abington for Registrar John Buckley’s Galway Oyster Festival with entertainment by Bob Fowkes and Curragh’s Fancy as well as the amazing Haley School of Irish Dance. Lynch is an experienced legislator with previous service in both chambers of Massachusetts’ state legislature before entering Congress in 2001. Born in Boston in 1955 and still residing there today at age 68, he holds degrees from Wentworth Institute of Technology (BS) and Boston College (JD).
