The following day, September 21, 2025, he highlighted the Westwood Day celebration at Westwood High School campus: “Happy to enjoy a perfect day on Westwood High School campus yesterday for the annual Westwood Day. Later that same day, Lynch reflected on another community event in South Boston: “Had an amazing time at the 25th Annual South Boston Street Festival yesterday! Each year, this event showcases the heart of South Boston, bringing together neighbors, friends, elected officials, local businesses, and community groups celebrating great food, local artists,”.
Lynch has served as Massachusetts’s 8th District representative in Congress since replacing Joe Moakley in 2001 and previously held seats in both the Massachusetts House of Representatives and Senate. Born in Boston in 1955 and currently residing there at age 68, Lynch holds degrees from Wentworth Institute of Technology and Boston College.
