Rep. Stephen F. Lynch, who represents Massachusetts’ 8th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on recent community events and legislative initiatives in a series of posts on his social media account.
On October 8, 2025, Lynch reported on his participation at a local event, stating, “Good turnout yesterday at the @TownofWestwood Public Safety Community Forum to discuss the future of Fire Station 1. Very grateful to take in the presentation of a wide range of possible options and listen to the thoughtful concerns raised by proponents and opponents on a https://t.co/BkrEiz8dGk”.
The following day, October 9, 2025, he highlighted another community engagement: “Great to join State Rep. Later that same day, Lynch announced a legislative initiative aimed at supporting military consumers. Lynch has served as a member of Congress for Massachusetts’s 8th District since 2001 after succeeding Joe Moakley. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of the Massachusetts state legislature from 1995 through 2001. Born in Boston in 1955 and currently residing there, Lynch holds degrees from Wentworth Institute of Technology and Boston College.
