U.S. Representative Stephen F. Lynch, who serves Massachusetts’ 8th district, recently addressed issues of rising electricity rates and federal worker compensation in a series of posts on his social media account.
On March 25, 2026, Lynch wrote: “Electricity rates are soaring across the country and American families are paying far too much for their electricity. Â
That’s why I support the #EnergyBillsReliefAct to lower costs by expanding access to affordable & reliable clean energy.”
Later that day, he posted a link without additional commentary: “https://t.co/sENxgX3AXF”.
On March 27, 2026, Lynch addressed labor and immigration enforcement funding: “I will keep fighting for our TSA workers to receive the pay and respect they deserve.
I will also continue to deny new funding for ICE until President Trump and the Congressional Republican Leadership agree to enact common sense reforms to ensure that the agency is fully”.
Lynch has represented Massachusetts’s 8th District in Congress since 2001 after succeeding Joe Moakley. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of the Massachusetts legislature from 1995 through 2001. Born in Boston in 1955, Lynch is a lifelong resident of the city and holds degrees from Wentworth Institute of Technology and Boston College.
