90 percent of applicants to Bridgewater State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Bridgewater State University, 84 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Bridgewater enrolled 10,990 students in fall 2018, including 9,504 in undergraduate and 1,486 in graduate programs, data shows. 11.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of Massachusetts, and 6 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (73 percent) and Black or African American (11 percent).

The school admitted 90 percent of the 6,806 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 25 percent enrolled.
