Blanchard Family Legacy Honored at Dedication Ceremony

The Town of Hanover proudly presented a granite bench honoring the legacy of three former fire chiefs, Chief Jeff Blanchard; Chief Ken Blanchard; and their late father, Chief Wendall "Bud" Blanchard, at the Hanover Fire Department Headquarters on July 18, 2022. The Chiefs served for over 127 years collectively in the Department with 26 years of combined service as Fire Chiefs. The bench symbolizes the commitment, dedication, and sacrifice made by the Blanchard family to the Town of Hanover.

The heartfelt ceremony was shared by Town officials, Hanover firefighters, close friends, and family members. The Blanchards are an integral part of Hanover's history. Their dedication and leadership will always be appreciated.

The bench inscription reads "In grateful appreciation for the Blanchard family's many years of dedication and service to the Town of Hanover and the Hanover Fire Department".
