Vacancy for the Abington Rockland Joint Waterworks Commission

Pursuant to Section 7-11 of the Abington Charter, the Board of Selectmen calls the attention of all residents and others to the fact the following vacancy exists. Position: 1 position on the Abington Rockland Joint Waterworks Commission Term: approximately for 4 months until the 2023 annual Town Election The Water Department is responsible for the production, treatment, and distribution of the town’s water supply in accordance with all federal and state regulations for the delivery of drinking water to consumers. The Department operates two surface water treatment facilities, one in the Town of Rockland and one in the Town of Pembroke. Any person who desires to be considered for appointment to the position may, within ten days following the date the notice is posted, file with the Board of Selectmen a statement which sets forth in clear and specific terms the qualifications which he/she holds for the position. You may file your statement of interest by using the Town of Abington Request for Appointment to Volunteer Board or Committee link located on the Board of Selectmen page of the Town Website. All requests must be submitted before 12:30 pm on November 4, 2022
