For the second time this year, a Springfield College men's gymnast earned national weekly recognition from the College Gymnastics Association (CGA) as Dominic Ramalho (Hollis, N.H.) was named the Co-Gymnast of the Week.

It marks just the third time in program history that Springfield College has earned national honors and Ramalho is the first-ever student-athlete to be named the top gymnast in the country, as he shared the award with Emre Dodanli from Oklahoma.  Earlier this year, David Handron was named the co-specialist of the week, an honor that Andrae Butler also received last year.

Earlier this week, Ramalho was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Men's Gymnast of the Week following the best-performance of his career last weekend. The senior produced the best all-around by over a point when he posted a 79.150 in Saturday's regular-season finale versus Army.  He was second on floor, vault, and rings and was victorious in the parallel bars as he helped Springfield to a team score of 392.100, marking the highest score in program history since 2017.
