Abbi Peterson Named MASCAC Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week | https://www.bsubears.com/
Bridgewater State University senior Abbi Peterson has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Peterson won the high jump last week at the cold and rainy BSU Bears Invitational with a leap of five feet, seven inches (1.70m). The Watertown, Massachusetts product was just shy of her own school mark of five feet, 7.25 inches (1.71m) set last season also at the BSU Invitational.
A 2022 NCAA Division III All-American, Peterson qualified for the Division III New England Championships as well as the NEICAAA Championships in the high jump. She currently ranks first in all of Division III in the event.
The MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week honor marks the eighth of Peterson's career including four outdoor distinctions.
The BSU outdoor track & field teams travel to Darmouth, Massachusetts on Saturday for the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Classic.
