Of the 527,602 citizens living in Plymouth County in 2021, 95.1% said they were only one race, while 4.9% said they were two or more races, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained in June.

The most prevalent racial group among citizens in Plymouth County who reported being of a single race in 2021 was white, comprising 80.6% or 425,485 individuals. Following them, African American accounted for 9.3% and totaled 48,869 individuals.
