Rep. Stephen F. Lynch, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts' 8th district since 2001, has been vocal on several recent issues through his social media posts. His career in public service includes time in both the Massachusetts House of Representatives and Senate before succeeding Joe Moakley in Congress.

On March 3, 2025, Lynch invited the public to participate in a virtual Town Hall aimed at discussing efforts by Democrats and pro-democracy allies to counteract what he describes as "unlawful actions" by former President Trump and Elon Musk. He expressed eagerness to engage with constituents and address their concerns during this event. "Please join me TOMORROW for our virtual Town Hall to discuss the work that Democrats in Congress and pro-democracy allies are doing to block the unlawful actions taken by the Trump Administration and Elon Musk."

Later that day, Lynch reflected on his participation in a DOGE Subcommittee hearing where he opposed recent actions by Trump and Musk, citing potential threats to U.S. national security and foreign policy. Drawing on his experience as former Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, he reaffirmed his commitment to oversight responsibilities. "At last week’s DOGE Subcommittee hearing, I spoke in strong opposition to President Trump and Elon Musk’s recent actions to undermine U.S. national security and foreign policy."

In another post dated March 3, 2025, Lynch shared his experience attending State Representative Jamie Murphy's Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Breakfast held in Weymouth. He described it as an event celebrating Irish culture with families and officials from across South Shore participating. "Great to join a packed house at State Representative Jamie Murphy’s Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Breakfast yesterday morning in Weymouth."
