Rep. Stephen F. Lynch, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Massachusetts' 8th district since 2001, recently shared a series of tweets highlighting his activities and legislative efforts. Born in Boston in 1955, Lynch has a long history of public service, including terms in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and Senate before his current role.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Lynch tweeted about welcoming several mayors to the Oversight Committee to discuss sanctuary cities. He expressed pride in Boston Mayor Michelle Wu for her defense of the city and its police department: "It was great to welcome Boston Mayor @wutrain and the mayors of Chicago, Denver, and New York City to the Oversight Committee to testify on the status of sanctuary cities. I’m proud of Mayor Wu for defending Boston and the @bostonpolice, who keep our city safe."

The following day, March 6, 2025, he shared another tweet about engaging with educators and students from Oliver Ames High School during their visit to Washington D.C.: "It was great to welcome teachers Courtney Kenney, Craig Goldberg, and Matthew Auger and 35 members of the Oliver Ames High School sophomore class to Washington D.C. today. We had a thoughtful discussion with great questions about my work in Congress..."

Later that same day, Rep. Lynch announced his support for significant labor legislation as a vice-chair of the Labor Caucus: "As a vice-chair of the @Labor_Caucus, I am proud to be an original cosponsor of H.R. 20, the Richard L. Trumka Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act of 2025." The act aims to protect workers' rights to organize and bargain collectively.
