The ratio of students to teachers in Carver Public Schools District rose by 6.1% in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 1,508 students being taught by 124 teachers in Carver Public Schools District, which covers schools within Plymouth County and has a main office in Carver. That's an average of 12.2 students per teacher in the district during the 2021-22 school year.

In the previous year, Carver Public Schools District had 1,476 students and 128.8 teachers on staff.

Massachusetts was ranked as the eighth best state for teachers, according to a WalletHub study.

Despite the shortage, under-representation of ethnicities among teachers was found to be a concern. The Rennie Center reported that only nine percent of teachers are people of color.
