2.1% more students enrolled in Rockland Public Schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 2,163 students enrolled in Rockland Public Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.1% more than the year before, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.8% identified as male and 48.1% identified themselves as female.

Rockland Public Schools registered the 131st-largest enrollment in the state.

Rockland Public Schools roughly covers schools within Plymouth County, and has a main office in Rockland.

Students in Massachusetts are predominantly white, making up 53% of the student population in the state. Hispanic students come in second, representing over 25% of Massachusetts' student body.

However, across the state, Hispanic and Native American students suffered the highest high school dropout rates.

Under representation is also found among educators in Massachusetts. The Rennie Center reported that only 9% of teachers are people of color.
