Hanover Public Schools District: 98.8% of students graduated in 2022-23 school year

Hanover Public Schools District had a 98.8% graduation rate during the 2022-23 school year, 2.1% higher than the previous school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 164 students who graduated in the 2022-23 school year, compared to 178 the year before.

Hanover Public Schools District and Foxborough Regional Charter District had the 15th highest graduation rate in the state.

Hanover Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Plymouth County and has a main office in Hanover.

In 2024, public schools in Massachusetts boasted a graduation rate of 90%, according to Public School Review.

However, younger students' proficiency is still lagging behind pre-pandemic levels. NAEP results show that in 2022, less than 47% of the students were considered proficient in math and reading, with eighth-graders performing the worst, reaching only 35% proficiency in math.
