On April 9, 2025, Lynch criticized Elon Musk, stating, "We must not allow Elon Musk to recklessly take a chainsaw to our federal government. Since January, Musk has consistently lied and defrauded the American taxpayers and threatened attacks against veterans benefits, social security, and has gained access to secure data."
Later the same day, Lynch addressed a concern relating to national security, tweeting, "Weeks after Secretary of Defense @PeteHegseth and other high-ranking national security officials in the Trump Administration used an insecure app to discuss imminent military operations, there has been no action taken by the Trump Administration or House Republicans."
The following day, April 10, 2025, Lynch announced his disapproval of a budget proposal, sharing, "I just voted NO on the budget proposed by House Republican Leadership at the direction of President Trump."
